Good race. found some flaws to the t/a. Stock 4 speed transmission ls1s came with 2.73. Manual came with optional borg warner 6 speed with 3.42 i believe. Ive driven fbodys for years and i own a 2000 ls1 t/a m6. Ive never know a 4 speed compete with a m6 with similiar mods. You guys can argue all you want. An even race would be a 6speed n/a vs the dsm. dont get me wrong i love dsms. But its not even.

too much oil pressure it just as bad as not enough. It depends on the car, what volume oil pump and main/rod bearing oil clearances. Not all cars have the exact same oil pressure per rpm or temp. Also the weight of the oil also has a big factor.

a good race motor will have over 100psi oil pressure when cold. once the engine is at operating temprature oil pressure should never go below about 40psi. i build race engines for a living and low oil pressure is usually caused by excessive play in the bottom end. and believe me, that aint a good thing.

well yes you need to run at least 93 OCTane in those cars and as in for oil pressure you might be running to thick of a oil I would runn 10w 30 sytec blend in that thing or your oil gauge is faulty or something is wrong with the oil pump or something of that nature . but not sure cause i know a few people that have these cars and there oil pressure is low when the car is idling low but when you rev it up the oil pressure should go up if not then something is not right and u need to get it check

HAHAHAHA thats about the stupidest thing I've ever heard. "It says it only needs premium" AHAHAHA. You good sir are an idiot. I hope you knock that motor to death.

I was talking on pump gas...but I should've assumed they were both on race....
